Fidel Gora showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simon Eskuin in the 18th minute of the match. After 21 minutes of play, ATLETICO TUCUMAN's Jacobo Veronica made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fidel Gora was left in no man's land by his defense there! Simon Eskuin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fidel Gora having to interfere. After having played for 33 minutes, Amancio Socorro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ATLETICO TUCUMAN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amancio Socorro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 34th minute, Jacobo Veronica got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jacobo Veronica fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fidel Gora having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Palermo F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Jacobo Veronica came free, but Fidel Gora reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Amancio Socorro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rene Canor to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, ATLETICO TUCUMAN's Jacobo Veronica dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. If Jacobo Veronica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Palermo F.C.'s Guaberto Bernad got a free kick in the 79th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jacobo Veronica in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fidel Gora prevented the ball from getting in the gole. ATLETICO TUCUMAN's Arnulfo Breogan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marciano Austin in the 82nd minute of play. Fidel Gora was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Jacobo Veronica capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jacobo Veronica really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. In the 87th minute Simon Eskuin suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Bernabe Roano's late challenge caught a ATLETICO TUCUMAN's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernabe Roano helped the player get up and apologised. ATLETICO TUCUMAN made a substitution. Serafin Abad replaced Simon Eskuin. In the 86th minute, one of Palermo F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Palermo F.C.. In the 90th minute there was a penalty for ATLETICO TUCUMAN. Braulio Mogel stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Fidel Gora. 0-5. Serafin Abad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Fidel Gora tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. ATLETICO TUCUMAN's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
