Papagayos's Daniel Venceslao got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Papagayos defense, Oscar Naldo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Astor Edwardo. The Papagayos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Astor Edwardo should have stopped the shot. Natalio Ascencio in the 36thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oscar Naldo to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Papagayos's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Naldo came free, but Astor Edwardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Papagayos getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Daniel Venceslao hit a great ball. Maximo Procopio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Astor Edwardo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 62nd minute Oscar Naldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Astor Edwardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maximo Procopio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Astor Edwardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th match minute, Papagayos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eloy Pirro to maneuver through the defense. The Trapalcó AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. The Papagayos fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Trapalcó AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
