If Ruperto Sadurni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute, Ruperto Sadurni made a precise shot to the right of Julian Crescencio. Gaucho Argentino's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. When Clarke's Ruperto Sadurni, in the 22nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Clarke. In the 26th minute Gaudencio Odon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julian Crescencio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julian Crescencio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ruperto Sadurni's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. When Gaudencio Odon came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Clarke fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaudencio Odon couldn't finish the play. Julian Crescencio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaudencio Odon, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 36 minutes into the game, Ruperto Sadurni cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Julian Crescencio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Gaucho Argentino getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Prudencio Brion hit a great ball. 45 minutes into the match, Gaucho Argentino's goal looked a bit too open when Ruperto Sadurni came free, but Julian Crescencio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 46 minutes, Hugo Eliu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clarke's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Eliu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Clarke were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ruperto Sadurni made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Gaucho Argentino's goalkeeper Julian Crescencio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ruperto Sadurni. In the 54th minute of the match, Gaudencio Odon tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julian Crescencio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The ball had pretty good speed, but Julian Crescencio firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Hanni in the 60th minute of play forced Clarke's goalkeeper Maximino Hibai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julian Crescencio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ruperto Sadurni in the 62nd minute. 64 minutes into the game, Clarke's Ruperto Sadurni nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
