If Jonatan Rexino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isidro Enekoitz struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Ruben Gaur didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Luján AFC. Geronimo Savier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélio Cosme in the 26th minute of play. Ruben Gaur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidro Enekoitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute, Isidro Enekoitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Urbez in the 30th minute of play forced Universidad de Córdoba's goalkeeper Ruben Gaur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonatan Rexino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Ruben Gaur made a huge save. After 42 played minutes Luján AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jonatan Rexino. Geronimo Savier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vitório Mattos, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. 45 minutes into the match, Hélio Cosme had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Geronimo Savier. Luján AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hélio Cosme was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Manuel Urbez was the one to do the kick off. Ruben Gaur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonatan Rexino in the 55th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Vitório Mattos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Jonatan Rexino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anastasio Teodor hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute Jonatan Rexino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Gaur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Hélio Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With an all-out effort, Universidad de Córdoba's Geronimo Savier threw himself towards the right post 79 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vitório Mattos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Hélio Cosme could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Geronimo Savier made a huge save. 83 minutes into the game, Luján AFC's Isidro Enekoitz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 90thth minute of the game Hélio Cosme who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Luján AFC's Geronimo Savier was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 92nd minute, Hélio Cosme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Geronimo Savier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alejo Aztore in the 93rd minute. Hélio Cosme might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Geronimo Savier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hélio Cosme ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Universidad de Córdoba players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
