Spectators: 7102 (Terracing: 5328, Seating: 1633, VIP seats: 141) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Saul Monte got the match started through his kick off. Saul Monte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgílio Arósio in the 8th minute of play forced Jáchal AFC's goalkeeper Eleuterio Bertran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Escobar's Saul Monte sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eleuterio Bertran narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eleuterio Bertran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristobal Mosen in the 13th minute of the match. After having played for 15 minutes, Saul Monte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Escobar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saul Monte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jáchal AFC's goalkeeper Eleuterio Bertran, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Saul Monte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Virgilio Venceslas during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Jáchal AFC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Virgilio Venceslas hit a great ball. The supporters of Jáchal AFC booed when Escobar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saul Monte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eleuterio Bertran came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Escobar's Virgílio Arósio. But to his dismay, Virgílio Arósio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Escobar's Nelson Gaúcho got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albino Macerio in the 32nd minute of play forced Escobar's goalkeeper Erubiel Gabon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jáchal AFC's Eleuterio Bertran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nelson Gaúcho in the 33rd minute of play. If Virgílio Arósio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Albino Macerio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Cristobal Mosen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Escobar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Eleuterio Bertran was a little too slow when Saul Monte got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 0-3. When Virgílio Arósio came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Escobar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Virgílio Arósio couldn't finish the play. In the 65th minute, Cristobal Mosen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Virgílio Arósio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Nelson Gaúcho came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Escobar fans jumped to their feet. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Cristobal Mosen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Escobar's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristobal Mosen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eleuterio Bertran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Jáchal AFC's zone, Virgílio Arósio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eleuterio Bertran came out of the goal and Virgílio Arósio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eleuterio Bertran made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Nelson Gaúcho sent off a good shot on target. Virgílio Arósio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eleuterio Bertran having to make a save. Saul Monte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eleuterio Bertran having to interfere.
