Tabay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Domingos Peru was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Tabay's Baltasar Misael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingos Peru in the 32nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Severino Karlo took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Baltasar Misael to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of C.A. River Plate booed when Tabay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florentino Benvido didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edgard Arnas made a kick off. Edgard Arnas struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Haroldo Bertran didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tabay. Baltasar Misael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciriaco Elizardo in the 55th minute of play. Baltasar Misael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingos Peru, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. After 86 minutes of play, Tabay's Edgard Arnas made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Haroldo Bertran was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 91 played minutes, C.A. River Plate's Ramiro Gabon shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Baltasar Misael came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in C.A. River Plate reached it. There was no doubt that C.A. River Plate were the better team. C.A. River Plate's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
