An unexpectedly hard shot by Ubaldo Xacintu in the 7th minute of play forced Diabara FC's goalkeeper Florentino Efren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Florentino Efren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebio Danel, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After some careless play in the Diabara FC defense, Eusebio Danel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Florentino Efren. The Diabara FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Florentino Efren should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Diabara FC's zone, Ubaldo Xacintu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florentino Efren came out of the goal and Ubaldo Xacintu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Florentino Efren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiburcio Mitxel in the 25th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Ubaldo Xacintu made a precise shot to the right of Florentino Efren. Diabara FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The supporters of Naranjo booed when Diabara FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Hibai didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute of the match Amado Sagrario sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Florentino Efren skillfully saved the ball. Leonel Jaunzuria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Naranjo were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joaquin Mikelats to strike the kick off in the second half. Leonel Jaunzuria struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Celestino Cordarrell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Diabara FC. After some careless play in the Naranjo defense, Leonel Jaunzuria kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Celestino Cordarrell. The Naranjo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Celestino Cordarrell should have stopped the shot. 67 minutes into the game, Ubaldo Xacintu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Florentino Efren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 74th minute, Eusebio Danel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Florentino Efren was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-7. 77 minutes into the match, Ubaldo Xacintu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Florentino Efren. Diabara FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ubaldo Xacintu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-8. Florentino Efren made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Ubaldo Xacintu sent off a good shot on target. Gustavo Faron's late challenge caught a Naranjo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gustavo Faron helped the player get up and apologised. Diabara FC's Leonel Jaunzuria got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ubaldo Xacintu struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Florentino Efren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Naranjo. 94 minutes into the match, Diabara FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eusebio Danel came free, but Florentino Efren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Naranjo players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
