Marco Oliverio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Florencio Ranolfo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. When Arsenio Eufrasio fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Haitiano's protests and gave Arsenio Eufrasio a yellow card for diving instead. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Haitiano's zone, Marco Oliverio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florencio Ranolfo came out of the goal and Marco Oliverio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Pablo Noe made the kick off in the second half. Anibal Chago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pablo Noe, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. After 62 played minutes Pablo Noe rounded Sepulturas's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-3. Jose Castulo kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Santo Artaldo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Florencio Ranolfo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3.
