The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 10 minutes into the game, Recreo AFC's Cesar Ondino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rosendo Matxin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Juan Poncio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristobal Brion, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. A collision led to Recreo AFC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Lorenzo Millrick hit a great ball. Recreo AFC's Juan Poncio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaias Harriet in the 18th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Isaias Harriet notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Recreo AFC's Juan Poncio. Juan Poncio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In a very dangerous position, a player in Recreo AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 25th minute. Penalty! In the 27th minute there was a penalty for ALCA de BUENOS AIRES. Ezequiel Perrando stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Juan Poncio. 1-2. Juan Poncio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristobal Brion in the 32nd minute of the match. When Abel Daunte fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Recreo AFC's protests and gave Abel Daunte a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Recreo AFC's Abel Daunte got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Rosendo Matxin made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Vladimiro Ixaka sent off a good shot on target. The long shot by Epifanio Beltxe in the 47th minute really tested Rosendo Matxin's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal.

The wind increased when Vladimiro Ixaka made the kick off in the second half. Adan Eladio hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Rosendo Matxin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimiro Ixaka, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Rosendo Matxin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vladimiro Ixaka went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Rosendo Matxin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cesar Ondino's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. If Vladimiro Ixaka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan Poncio came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by ALCA de BUENOS AIRES's Isaias Harriet. But to his dismay, Isaias Harriet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. When Recreo AFC's Cesar Ondino in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ALCA de BUENOS AIRES's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of ALCA de BUENOS AIRES booed when Recreo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Epifanio Beltxe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vladimiro Ixaka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rosendo Matxin having to interfere. In the 94thth minute of the game Vladimiro Ixaka who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ALCA de BUENOS AIRES's Rosendo Matxin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Recreo AFC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
