After 19 minutes, Saverio Ihazintu made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Recreo AFC's Juan Poncio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Vladimiro Ixaka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciro Honesto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vladimiro Ixaka in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute Cesar Ondino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Honesto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute, Denis Baladi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 33 minutes into the game, Elisa's Saverio Ihazintu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juan Poncio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 38th minute, Saverio Ihazintu made a precise shot to the right of Juan Poncio. Recreo AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. If Vladimiro Ixaka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Recreo AFC's Cesar Ondino dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 54th minute, Saverio Ihazintu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Poncio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Cesar Ondino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 62nd minute Justino Aurken shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Poncio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Elisa's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimiro Ixaka came free, but Ciro Honesto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 71 minutes into the game, Justino Aurken recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Juan Poncio. Justino Aurken showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-6. Juan Poncio made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Saverio Ihazintu sent off a good shot on target. After 79 played minutes Elisa got a freekick which was hit by Arsenio Jakue. A collision led to Recreo AFC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Amancio Euloxu hit a great ball. Justino Aurken blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Juan Poncio having to make a save. Joel Guter shot from long distance in the 85th minute, but Juan Poncio was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. In the 86th minute, Elisa's Justino Aurken dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-7. Saverio Ihazintu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Juan Poncio made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Saverio Ihazintu got free with Juan Poncio in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Recreo AFC booed when Elisa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justino Aurken didn't get a good kick on the ball.
