The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tiburcio Gonsalvo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tiburcio Gonsalvo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnulfo Nesto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Obligado AFC's Tiburcio Gonsalvo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnulfo Nesto in the 23rd minute of play. Luis Weterio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eleuterio Gonzo in the 26th minute. If Arnulfo Nesto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th match minute, Obligado AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bonifacio Salvator to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Kaiet in the 34th minute of play forced Obligado AFC's goalkeeper Tiburcio Gonsalvo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 37 minutes, Arnulfo Nesto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cochangasta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnulfo Nesto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Arnulfo Nesto put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Tiburcio Gonsalvo. After a rather tough play, Cochangasta FC's Diego Olentzaro got a free kick in the 44th minute. If Arnulfo Nesto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Diego Olentzaro took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tiburcio Gonsalvo. Tiburcio Gonsalvo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The wind increased when Celestino Kismi made the kick off in the second half. Vicente Kaiet's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tiburcio Gonsalvo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. With a little luck, Obligado AFC's Tiburcio Gonsalvo got control of the ball when Vicente Kaiet tried to sneak it across the goal line. Saturnino Valente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luis Weterio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celestino Kismi in the 62nd minute of play.
