Federico Franco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iñaki Villar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simon Domiku in the 29th minute of the match. The supporters of Poetas de la selva booed when Los Churry´s de Cipo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michel Moberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angelo Ponce got free with Iñaki Villar in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 33 minutes into the game, Ricardo Beliran was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Los Churry´s de Cipo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Poetas de la selva the free kick. Federico Franco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feliberto Terciero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teofilo Baumar's late challenge caught a Poetas de la selva's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teofilo Baumar helped the player get up and apologised. Teofilo Baumar hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 57thth minute of the game Edgard Bernad who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Poetas de la selva's Federico Franco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Feliberto Terciero was extremely unlucky when he, in the 58th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 59 minutes, Israel Ospin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Poetas de la selva and the Los Churry´s de Cipo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Poetas de la selva's Israel Ospin got a free kick in the 59th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Humberto Berbiz during the 61st minute. Edgard Bernad blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Federico Franco having to make a save. With a little luck, Poetas de la selva's Federico Franco got control of the ball when Edgard Bernad tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Poetas de la selva getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Angelo Ponce hit a great ball. Edgard Bernad received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Federico Franco came out and tried to block the shot, but Edgard Bernad slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 94th minute.
