After having played for 43 minutes, Haroldo Matxin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Chalchaleros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Haroldo Matxin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Gilberto Pedroso fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peyrano's protests and gave Gilberto Pedroso a yellow card for diving instead. Gilberto Pedroso hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arnoldo Dalmu to strike the kick off in the second half. If Cipriano Mano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. After 61 played minutes, Peyrano's Cleto Telesforo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Maximiliano Veremundo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Peyrano reached it. In the 68th match minute, Peyrano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cleto Telesforo to maneuver through the defense. When Arnoldo Dalmu came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Peyrano fans jumped to their feet. After 90 played minutes Deportivo Chalchaleros got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Esiquio. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle.
