After taking down the ball on Altamira's corner Enrique Chabier fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jesus Fortun quite easily take care of the ball. Gerardo Perpinya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Altamira's Hermengildo Remigio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zacarias Su in the 13th minute of play. In the 15th match minute, Monte Castro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adriana Maureo to maneuver through the defense. Altamira's Gerardo Perpinya got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adriana Maureo kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. When Benedicto Millan fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Altamira's protests and gave Benedicto Millan a yellow card for diving instead. Benedicto Millan hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedicto Millan in the 32nd minute of play forced Monte Castro FC's goalkeeper Jesus Fortun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jesus Fortun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedicto Millan, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benedicto Millan was the one to do the kick off. Monte Castro FC's Zacarias Su got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Florencio Pudes struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Hermengildo Remigio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monte Castro FC. 64 minutes into the match, Zacarias Su notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Altamira's Hermengildo Remigio. Hermengildo Remigio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Anselmo Giraldo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Jesus Fortun made a huge save. In the 74th minute of the match Alejandro Nicholas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hermengildo Remigio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 81 played minutes Monte Castro FC got a freekick which was hit by Gregorio Pueblo. 83 minutes into the match, Rigoberto Musko had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jesus Fortun. Monte Castro FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rigoberto Musko was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 91st minute, Gerardo Perpinya got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Altamira were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
