In the 18th minute, Carlos Kepa made a precise shot to the right of Jesus Fortun. Monte Castro FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Monte Castro FC's Jesus Fortun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Kepa in the 28th minute of play. Gregorio Huly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonatan Harriet having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Jonatan Rios left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Acevedo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Jesus Fortun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Kepa in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Jonatan Rios could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Jesus Fortun made a huge save. Carlos Kepas short, quick shot in the 62ndth minute got Jesus Fortun to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 64 minutes into the match, Monte Castro FC's goalkeeper Jesus Fortun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Kepa. 65 minutes into the game, Zacarias Su was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Monte Castro FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Acevedo the free kick. The Monte Castro FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Deportivo Acevedo were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
