Leonel Precioso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Uriel Oto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Jesus Berbiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Uriel Oto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jesus Berbiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 33 minutes, Leonel Precioso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C a v S's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonel Precioso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ipizca's zone, Leonel Precioso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Uriel Oto came out of the goal and Leonel Precioso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leonel Precioso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 37 minutes, Narciso Matteo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C a v S's supporters crossed their fingers, but Narciso Matteo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Leonel Precioso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Uriel Oto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonel Precioso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 55 minutes into the match, Ipizca's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Precioso came free, but Uriel Oto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th match minute, Ipizca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro Jatsu to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in C a v S's zone, Florencio Lizbeth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cecilio Banegas came out of the goal and Florencio Lizbeth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cecilio Banegas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arsenio Oidor, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 65 minutes into the game, Teodoro Jatsu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Cecilio Banegas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Leonel Precioso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. C a v S's Leonel Precioso got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 76th minute, Narciso Matteo made a precise shot to the right of Uriel Oto. Ipizca's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Teodoro Jatsu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ipizca's supporters rose to their feet, but Teodoro Jatsu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cecilio Banegas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcial Tiso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uriel Oto having to interfere. If Leonel Precioso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Narciso Matteo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Uriel Oto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Marcial Tiso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 90 played minutes C a v S got a freekick which was hit by Marcial Tiso. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the C a v S players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
