Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) River City's Remigio Rioja started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, River City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remigio Rioja to maneuver through the defense. Vilhelm Askberg made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Remigio Rioja sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Los Pelados's Vilhelm Askberg got control of the ball when Isaac Christobal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 7 minutes, Vilhelm Askberg successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 10th minute, Remigio Rioja ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vilhelm Askberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Remigio Rioja sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vilhelm Askberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimiro Eguerdi, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Los Pelados's Vilhelm Askberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Los Pelados from getting a goal against them. Los Pelados's Vilhelm Askberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvio Mannuel in the 20th minute of play. After 47 minutes of play, River City's Silvio Mannuel made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vilhelm Askberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Severino Pacifico stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vilhelm Askberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimiro Eguerdi in the 54th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcial Arnau in the 58th minute of play forced Los Pelados's goalkeeper Vilhelm Askberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. River City's Isaac Christobal got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vilhelm Askberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcial Arnau, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 69th minute, Remigio Rioja ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vilhelm Askberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. Zacarias Gartzi kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Vilhelm Askberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remigio Rioja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacobo Urki in the 86th minute of play forced Los Pelados's goalkeeper Vilhelm Askberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Pelados's goalkeeper Vilhelm Askberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 97 minutes into the game, River City's Jacobo Urki nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vilhelm Askberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. There was no doubt that River City were the better team. River City's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
