In the 12th minute of the match, Astor Inko tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Iker Cugat saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 23 minutes, Erubiel Inautzi made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Pumahuasi's Silvano Haritz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Genaro Peruxu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Silvano Haritz. Pumahuasi's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Geronimo Maurino kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After 33 minutes, Ulises Miro made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Pumahuasi's Silvano Haritz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Erubiel Inautzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvano Haritz having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ulises Miro in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silvano Haritz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Silvano Haritz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulises Miro, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erubiel Inautzi was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Pumahuasi's goal looked a bit too open when Erubiel Inautzi came free, but Silvano Haritz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mataldi FC's goalkeeper Iker Cugat, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Pumahuasi booed when Mataldi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saul Ioritz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mataldi FC's Iker Cugat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Astor Inko in the 80th minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Mataldi FC's Erubiel Inautzi dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. Gregorio Isias charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 95th match minute, Mataldi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genaro Peruxu to maneuver through the defense. 96 minutes into the match, Pumahuasi's Geronimo Maurino broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The Mataldi FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
