After 3 minutes, Epifanio Turi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Devoto FC and the Canquel AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Canquel AFC booed when Devoto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Epifanio Turi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Modesto Pirmin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roberto Jakobe in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ladislao Eguntsenti saved Devoto FC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Canquel AFC's Evelio Macario got a free kick in the 15th minute. Evelio Macario's late challenge caught a Devoto FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Devoto FC's Anibal Amor got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 31st minute, Eugenio Vergaray hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 34 minutes, Roberto Jakobe made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Devoto FC's Ladislao Eguntsenti tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Devoto FC defense, Roberto Jakobe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ladislao Eguntsenti. The Devoto FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ladislao Eguntsenti should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Devoto FC's zone, Ernesto Estefan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ladislao Eguntsenti came out of the goal and Ernesto Estefan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anibal Amor was the one to do the kick off. Ladislao Eguntsenti was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Atilano Nesor. The supporters of Canquel AFC booed when Devoto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prudencio Santikurtz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ladislao Eguntsenti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Modesto Pirmin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Modesto Pirmin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Ladislao Eguntsenti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 66 played minutes Canquel AFC got a freekick which was hit by Enzo Gilabert. Roberto Jakobe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 74 minutes into the match, Anibal Amor notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Canquel AFC's Primitivo Karlo. Primitivo Karlo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Ernesto Estefan came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Canquel AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernesto Estefan couldn't finish the play. Ladislao Eguntsenti made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Roberto Jakobe sent off a good shot on target. Canquel AFC's Roberto Jakobe got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ladislao Eguntsenti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enzo Gilabert, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. 95 minutes into the match, Devoto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Roberto Jakobe came free, but Ladislao Eguntsenti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Canquel AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
