The supporters of Circulo Policial booed when Racing de Nueva Italia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorato Checa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Pierres in the 86th minute of play. Racing de Nueva Italia's Bermudo Hidalgo was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 88th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 94th minute Leon Pierres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Honorato Checa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Racing de Nueva Italia played a much better game than Circulo Policial and deserved their victory. The Circulo Policial players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
