In the 12th minute, Teodoro Emenon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute, Teodoro Emenon made a precise shot to the right of Tomas Eli. Ensenada's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 19th match minute, Gimnasia y tiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Micael to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Gimnasia y tiro's Jacobo Eguzki got control of the ball when Emiliano Vidal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tomas Eli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Emenon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the game, Ensenada's Emiliano Vidal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jacobo Eguzki made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Ensenada's Tomas Eli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodoro Emenon in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Emenon in the 40th minute of play forced Ensenada's goalkeeper Tomas Eli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Ensenada's Jacobo Eguzki threw himself towards the right post 42 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jonathan Otoniel, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 47th minute, one of Ensenada:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ensenada. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Teodoro Emenon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Tomas Eli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gimnasia y tiro's Jacobo Eguzki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Otoniel in the 58th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Gimnasia y tiro's Federico Micael got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Teodoro Emenon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomas Eli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Emiliano Vidal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Gimnasia y tiro's Teodoro Emenon in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ensenada's goalie prevented a goal. Jacobo Eguzki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emiliano Vidal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Eli made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Teodoro Emenon sent off a good shot on target. When Federico Micael came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Gimnasia y tiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Federico Micael couldn't finish the play. Nemesio Tolino's late challenge caught a Gimnasia y tiro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nemesio Tolino helped the player get up and apologised. Nemesio Tolino hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Gimnasia y tiro's Federico Micael suffered a concussion after 90 minutes and had to leave the field. Honorato Meder hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. With his leg Tomas Eli managed to avoid a goal in the 97thth minute, when Gimnasia y tiro's Teodoro Emenon fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The Ensenada fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Gimnasia y tiro were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
