Ovidio Honesto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Ovidio Honesto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Arotza in the 14th minute of the match. Ovidio Honesto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iker Gaizko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the match, Retiro FC's Claudio Gaizko sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Domingos Isaio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ovidio Honesto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iker Gaizko in the 23rd minute of play. Claudio Gaizko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingos Isaio having to interfere. Retiro FC's Geronimo Guipuzkoa got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ovidio Honesto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Gartzen in the 31st minute of the match. After 34 minutes, Omar Leoiar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bazán FC and the Retiro FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th minute, Omar Leoiar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claudio Gaizko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingos Isaio having to interfere. 38 minutes into the game, Celedonio Valentine was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bazán FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Retiro FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Bazán FC's Celedonio Valentine got a free kick in the 38th minute. 46 minutes into the match, Retiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Celedonio Valentine came free, but Ovidio Honesto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ovidio Honesto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvano Ourente, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claudio Arotza made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Bazán FC's Claudio Arotza dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. A collision led to Bazán FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Fulgencio Medero hit a great ball. Claudio Arotza received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ovidio Honesto came out and tried to block the shot, but Claudio Arotza slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 61st minute. In the 64th minute, Claudio Gaizko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Retiro FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. A collision led to Bazán FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Claudio Arotza hit a great ball. With a little luck, Retiro FC's Ovidio Honesto got control of the ball when Silvano Ourente tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 76th minute, Silvano Ourente made a precise shot to the right of Ovidio Honesto. Retiro FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. In the 81st minute, Retiro FC's Geronimo Guipuzkoa seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Geronimo Guipuzkoa the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Retiro FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Geronimo Guipuzkoa had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of Bazán FC booed when Retiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geronimo Guipuzkoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 87 minutes into the match, Bazán FC's goal looked a bit too open when Primitivo Etxahun came free, but Domingos Isaio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ovidio Honesto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iker Gaizko in the 92nd minute of the match. Primitivo Etxahun struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Domingos Isaio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Retiro FC. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Bazán FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
