In the 9th minute Claudio Gaizko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Arce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudio Gaizko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fermin Oihenarte struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Damian Arce didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Retiro FC. Paulo Bembe took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ovidio Honesto. Retiro FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience was convinced that Claudio Gaizko's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Damian Arce was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. In the 47th minute of the match Paulo Bembe sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ovidio Honesto skillfully saved the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Justino Cordero to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Retiro FC's Eustacio Bernat seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Eustacio Bernat the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Retiro FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Eustacio Bernat had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The audience thought a goal was coming when Esteve Jakue got free with Damian Arce in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Justino Cordero scored 1-2 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ovidio Honesto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 86 played minutes Retiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Esteban Quiroga. 92 minutes into the match, Chilca's goalkeeper Damian Arce had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Primitivo Etxahun. Esteban Quiroga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Retiro FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
