Amadeo Argi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Domingos Isaio made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Bazán FC's zone, Eusebio Txilar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Domingos Isaio came out of the goal and Eusebio Txilar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A throw-in in the 16th minute of the game was made by Celedonio Valentine with Iker Gaizko as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Eusebio Txilar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the match, Bazán FC's goalkeeper Domingos Isaio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amadeo Argi. 33 minutes into the match, Lagunilla AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Silvano Ourente came free, but Xepe Pujol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute, Bazán FC's Erasmo Silvanito seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Erasmo Silvanito the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Bazán FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Erasmo Silvanito had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bazán FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! After 36 minutes of play, Lagunilla AFC's Amadeo Argi made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Domingos Isaio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Iker Gaizko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xepe Pujol having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amadeo Argi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Iker Gaizko's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Xepe Pujol was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Domingos Isaio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amadeo Argi's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. 60 minutes into the game, Claudio Arotza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bazán FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lagunilla AFC the free kick. After 60 played minutes Bazán FC got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Arotza. Domingos Isaio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amadeo Argi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eusebio Txilar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Silvano Ourente managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bazán FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvano Ourente was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xepe Pujol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 70th minute Amadeo Argi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingos Isaio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xepe Pujol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Gartzen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Domingos Isaio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eusebio Txilar's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Silvano Ourente got free with Xepe Pujol in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Celedonio Valentine hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 85th match minute, Lagunilla AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Elivareo to maneuver through the defense. In the 89th minute Eusebio Txilar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingos Isaio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amadeo Argi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bazán FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
