David Rioja came out of the goal and Melquiades Gelmiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 26 minutes, Fausto Balesio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Katrina FC and the CLUDIAS players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 26th match minute, Katrina FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto Balesio to maneuver through the defense. David Rioja stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guido Cordaryal's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Katrina FC's Nicolas Niva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulino Koldo in the 46th minute of play. Nicolas Niva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulino Koldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
