The referee felt a red card was in order, 7 minutes into the game, when Nemesio Venerando put in a rough tackle. In the 6th minute, one of Monserrat FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Monserrat FC. The referee gave Franklin FC a penalty, 9 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gustaf Olsson, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Monserrat FC's Ruben Elodio. 1-0. If Joel Mello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Franklin FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Benito Raulo hit a great ball. 马岚宁 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Epifanio Sotero having to interfere. Teofilo Lastur hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Monserrat FC's zone, Froilan Gaspard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruben Elodio came out of the goal and Froilan Gaspard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Froilan Gaspard who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Ruben Elodio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Joel Mello came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Franklin FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Mello couldn't finish the play. Epifanio Sotero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaudencio Tristan in the 31st minute of the match. Gaudencio Tristan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Epifanio Sotero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 43 played minutes Franklin FC got a freekick which was hit by Ladislao Hermelando. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Froilan Gaspard made a kick off. After 57 minutes, Joel Mello mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Franklin FC and the Monserrat FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Franklin FC's Joel Mello got a free kick in the 57th minute. Gaudencio Tristan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 66 minutes of play Franklin FC's Froilan Gaspard was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Monserrat FC booed when Franklin FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Froilan Gaspard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ruben Elodio was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Franklin FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Monserrat FC for a fine match.
