Nemesio Roldan hit a great ball. Benjamin Atauri's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Feliberto Lluc firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 34th minute Ciriaco Micael shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliberto Lluc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Chischaquita FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ciriaco Micael came free, but Feliberto Lluc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute, Amado Jerrald got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dalmacio Laurentzi walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After having played for 47 minutes, Amado Jerrald managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chischaquita FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amado Jerrald was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amado Jerrald was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match Jesus Victoro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Feliberto Lluc showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Feliberto Lluc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciriaco Micael, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Feliberto Lluc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciriaco Micael in the 60th minute of play. In the 68th minute Amado Jerrald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Cordeal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Raimundo Mel fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peña's protests and gave Raimundo Mel a yellow card for diving instead. Raimundo Mel kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Amado Jerrald was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 71st minute. Chischaquita FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Benjamin Atauri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliberto Lluc having to interfere. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peña's goalkeeper Enrique Cordeal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gualterio Dacio might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Enrique Cordeal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gualterio Dacio ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Chischaquita FC's zone, Benjamin Atauri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Feliberto Lluc came out of the goal and Benjamin Atauri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ciriaco Micael received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Feliberto Lluc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
