Enrique Ferdinand stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benicio Illan's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. The referee showed Horacio Urti the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 5th minute, one of Godoy AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Godoy AFC. In the 8th minute there was a penalty for Lértora. Jairo Emenon stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Enrique Ferdinand. 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vladimiro Serafo during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 13 played minutes Lértora got a freekick which was hit by Vladimiro Serafo. Severiano Reynardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Santo, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Astor Polentzi kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Abelardo Peli was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 24th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Orlando Santo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Severiano Reynardo was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. In the 33rdth minute of the game Gilberto Jerardo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lértora's Severiano Reynardo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Severiano Reynardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Santo in the 35th minute of the match. If Gilberto Jerardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Godoy AFC's Orlando Santo in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lértora's goalie prevented a goal. Gilberto Jerardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severiano Reynardo having to interfere. Orlando Santo struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Severiano Reynardo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Godoy AFC. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Nicolas Chap made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Lértora's goalkeeper Severiano Reynardo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Honorio Lander. Gilberto Jerardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severiano Reynardo having to interfere. When Gilberto Jerardo came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Godoy AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilberto Jerardo couldn't finish the play. With his leg Severiano Reynardo managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when Godoy AFC's Gilberto Jerardo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 71 minutes, Orlando Santo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Godoy AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orlando Santo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Godoy AFC's Gilberto Jerardo got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Orlando Santo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Severiano Reynardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Severiano Reynardo stood somewhat misplaced when Orlando Santo came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 81 minute. After 84 played minutes Godoy AFC got a freekick which was hit by Cristo Frans. Gilberto Jerardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gilberto Jerardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severiano Reynardo having to interfere. A collision led to Lértora getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Tomás Rodriguez hit a great ball. Severiano Reynardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Santo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 94 played minutes Lértora got a freekick which was hit by Christian Nuxila. Orlando Santo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Severiano Reynardo having to make a save. Godoy AFC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Lértora to leave the ground with a draw.
