Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Celso Filipo kicked off to start the match. With a little luck, Arboledas's Gabriel Belmiro got control of the ball when Abelardo Garin tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 11th minute of the match Lucas Dolfos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gabriel Belmiro skillfully saved the ball. Gabriel Belmiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulises Cordaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Abelardo Garin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Belmiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulises Cordaro in the 19th minute of play. San Lorenzo's Blas Macerio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Castulo in the 21st minute of play. In the 25thth minute of the game Celso Filipo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Lorenzo's Blas Macerio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 30 played minutes San Lorenzo got a freekick which was hit by Silvestre Medardo. Ulises Cordaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Gabriel Belmiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celso Filipo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abelardo Garin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. The supporters of San Lorenzo booed when Arboledas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeledon Lastur didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Arboledas's goalkeeper Gabriel Belmiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abelardo Garin. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celso Filipo in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Blas Macerio saved San Lorenzo from getting behind. Abelardo Garin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Gabriel Belmiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Ulises Cordaro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gabriel Belmiro was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ariel Ixaka during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The San Lorenzo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Abelardo Garin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92ndth minute of the game Ulises Cordaro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arboledas's Gabriel Belmiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. San Lorenzo fully deserved thier win.
