Curupaity's Nunez Montae played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugenio Cordarrell in the 10th minute of play. With a little luck, Curupaity's Nunez Montae got control of the ball when Placido Maxin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aristides Gelacio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Perfecto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute, Silverio Ugutz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rinconada's Gogo Rodriguez came free and shot a quick shot against goal 20 minutes in the game, fortunately Nunez Montae had problems saving as it came toward the left post. In the 22nd minute Eugenio Cordarrell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nunez Montae saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Curupaity getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Prudencio Izotz hit a great ball. Curupaity's Prudencio Izotz got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rinconada's Aristides Gelacio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Perfecto in the 28th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gogo Rodriguez got free with Nunez Montae in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nunez Montae made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugenio Cordarrell in the 32nd minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Curupaity's goalkeeper Nunez Montae had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gogo Rodriguez. Nunez Montae made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silverio Ugutz in the 39th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Rinconada's Gogo Rodriguez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nunez Montae narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gogo Rodriguez's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 44thth minute, Nunez Montae skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Eugenio Cordarrell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Prudencio Izotz to make the kick off. Nunez Montae made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugenio Cordarrell in the 52nd minute of play. Nunez Montae showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugenio Cordarrell in the 55th minute of the match. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Curupaity's goalkeeper Nunez Montae, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nunez Montae came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Rinconada's Gogo Rodriguez. But to his dismay, Gogo Rodriguez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Rinconada's Eugenio Cordarrell got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eugenio Cordarrell struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Nunez Montae didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rinconada. 74 minutes into the game, Eugenio Cordarrell cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Nunez Montae was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eugenio Cordarrell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Eugenio Cordarrell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rinconada's supporters rose to their feet, but Eugenio Cordarrell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Curupaity's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
