Evelio Nerio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teo Heli in the 37th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anacleto Ignatius in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Evelio Nerio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 42 minutes into the match, La Gregoria F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Rolando Urtsua came free, but Evelio Nerio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evelio Nerio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teo Heli in the 43rd minute of play. Empedrado's Teo Heli got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Romeo Ermano made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Empedrado's Rolando Urtsua ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Evelio Nerio. Evelio Nerio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. After 59 minutes, Cayetano Rafel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Empedrado and the La Gregoria F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After recieving a nice pass, La Gregoria F.C.'s Saturnino Ranolfo tried to score from far away in the 60th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A collision led to Empedrado getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Anacleto Ignatius hit a great ball. If Evaristo Pero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee gave Empedrado a penalty, 72 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Cayetano Rafel, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of La Gregoria F.C.'s Evelio Nerio. 0-3. 77 minutes into the game, La Gregoria F.C.'s Romeo Ermano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Astor Merexildo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Evelio Nerio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teo Heli in the 80th minute. Melquiades Ferran hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Evelio Nerio made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Teo Heli sent off a good shot on target.
