In the 20th match minute, Sanford FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernan Javiero to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute Jose Ladio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clodoveo Naike saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jose Ladio struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Clodoveo Naike didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A.LEALES. After 32 played minutes, Sanford FC's Paulino Berenguer shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tomás Quinito came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sanford FC reached it. A collision led to C.A.LEALES getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Hipolito Chinto hit a great ball. Sanford FC's Clodoveo Naike played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jose Ladio in the 39th minute of play. Clodoveo Naike made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Jose Ladio sent off a good shot on target. Hipolito Chinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clodoveo Naike having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Hipolito Chinto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jose Ladio was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes Sanford FC got a freekick which was hit by Juan Deunoro. In the 55th minute, Jose Ladio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 58 minutes, Hipolito Chinto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A.LEALES's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hipolito Chinto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
