The referee ignored Lacarra AFC's protests and gave Anibal Abadia a yellow card for diving instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfredo Fernanco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ciro Faro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Erubiel Rivero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Albano Frutos in the 95th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Cresenciano in the 97th minute of play forced Jarillito FC's goalkeeper Ciro Faro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lacarra AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
