Dalmacio Maule showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laureano Chinto in the 19th minute of the match. Dalmacio Maule didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ladislao Rioja went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Bartolo Paz's late challenge caught a Cipolletti AC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bartolo Paz helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Providencia AFC's Bartolo Paz got a free kick in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casimiro Mark in the 25th minute of play forced Cipolletti AC's goalkeeper Baldomero Urre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dalmacio Maule came out of the goal and Laureano Chinto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dalmacio Maule made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ladislao Rioja in the 37th minute of play. With a little luck, Cipolletti AC's Baldomero Urre got control of the ball when Gaston Dominix tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 41stth minute of the game Laureano Chinto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Providencia AFC's Dalmacio Maule was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dalmacio Maule took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laureano Chinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Providencia AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cipolletti AC were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ladislao Rioja to strike the kick off in the second half. If Aristides Bastiaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ladislao Rioja couldn't finish the play. 85 minutes into the match, Providencia AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ladislao Rioja came free, but Dalmacio Maule reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Providencia AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ladislao Rioja 89 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
