When Fabian Chan fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gigante del sur's protests and gave Fabian Chan a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Gigante del sur getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Fabian Chan hit a great ball. Victorio Kemen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eustacio Santo, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Alvaro Lartaun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clodoveo Ekain in the 20th minute of the match. Clodoveo Ekain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Lartaun having to interfere. If Jose Nardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Apolo Amor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clodoveo Ekain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 39thth minute of the game Clodoveo Ekain who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gigante del sur's Alvaro Lartaun was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Jose Nardo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Huncal's supporters rose to their feet, but Jose Nardo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvaro Lartaun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 42nd minute, one of Gigante del sur:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gigante del sur. When the match had been going on for 44 minutes, Huncal's Silvestre Rodriguez got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Alvaro Lartaun. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Clodoveo Ekain made a kick off. Alvaro Lartaun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gualterio Licerio in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Clodoveo Ekain made a precise shot to the right of Alvaro Lartaun. Gigante del sur's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. In the 61st minute, Jose Nardo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alvaro Lartaun was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Eustacio Santo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Victorio Kemen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jose Nardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Alvaro Lartaun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alvaro Lartaun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clodoveo Ekain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 76 minutes into the game, Apolo Amor recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Victorio Kemen. Apolo Amor showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-2. Ruben Baudelio kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Victorio Kemen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustacio Santo in the 81st minute of play. Apolo Amor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victorio Kemen having to interfere. Eustacio Santo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victorio Kemen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Clodoveo Ekain managed to get in a good position for a shot. Huncal's supporters rose to their feet, but Clodoveo Ekain was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvaro Lartaun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 95th match minute, Gigante del sur was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciriaco Magdaleno to maneuver through the defense. Huncal's Jose Nardo got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
