Cristian Gabon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dario Rami, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Gabon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cecilio Tabby, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After 22 played minutes slakers got a freekick which was hit by Clodoveo Elija. Cristian Gabon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cecilio Tabby, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luis Navarro made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Manuel Mincho sent off a good shot on target. Patricio Che's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luis Navarro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Manuel Mincho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Luis Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luis Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Che in the 43rd minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Patricio Che was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Che in the 54th minute of play forced slakers's goalkeeper Luis Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th match minute, slakers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Rameriz to maneuver through the defense. Patricio Che recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rancagua's Cristian Gabon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Rancagua from getting a goal against them. After 63 minutes, Armando Madaleno mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rancagua and the slakers players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Rancagua getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Armando Madaleno hit a great ball. Dario Rami's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cristian Gabon firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 65 played minutes Rancagua got a freekick which was hit by Armando Madaleno. The supporters of slakers booed when Rancagua was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeo Taurino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dario Rami who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Cristian Gabon when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Cecilio Tabby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Patricio Che sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the match, Rancagua's Patricio Che sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luis Navarro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Dario Rami could shoot a difficult shot in the 83rd minute, which Cristian Gabon however easily saved by the left post. In the 84th minute, Fausto Behe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cecilio Tabby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tadeo Taurino hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. slakers's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dalmacio Frasco in the 94th minute. After 95 played minutes, slakers's Florencio Tirso shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cristian Gabon came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in slakers reached it. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. slakers walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
