But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Generoso Kismi couldn't finish the play. Basilio Lartaun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abelardo Bizi, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Melchor Crescencio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eriberto Quinito in the 20th minute of play. Melchor Crescencio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roque Stanislao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Generoso Kismi came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the BUTTELER fans jumped to their feet. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benicio Harriet during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ojete's Benicio Harriet got a free kick in the 28th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Eriberto Quinito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ojete's supporters rose to their feet, but Eriberto Quinito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melchor Crescencio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ojete's Salvador Baldovino got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 44th minute Gaston Etxeberri suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guaberto Tome during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eriberto Quinito was the one to do the kick off. Roque Stanislao's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Melchor Crescencio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Generoso Kismi made a precise shot to the right of Basilio Lartaun. Ojete's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Roque Stanislao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Salvador Baldovino struck a weak shot in the 77th minute.
