Spectators: 7265 (Terracing: 5484, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ernesto Charro started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute of the match Octavio Ted sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Geronimo Romo skillfully saved the ball. Gaston Montel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Severiano Ignazio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Virgilio Cordarryl when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Falda's Feliciano Grabiel got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaston Montel in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Virgilio Cordarryl prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 22 minutes, Ernesto Charro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlas F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernesto Charro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Gregorio Dei fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlas F.C.'s protests and gave Gregorio Dei a yellow card for diving instead. Gregorio Dei kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Pablo Marko was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 26th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After having played for 28 minutes, Severiano Ignazio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Falda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severiano Ignazio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Falda's Gaston Montel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Virgilio Cordarryl narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Severiano Ignazio might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Virgilio Cordarryl. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Severiano Ignazio ran back to his position shaking his head. Ernesto Charro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geronimo Romo having to interfere. Benedicto Eguerdi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Geronimo Romo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Virgilio Cordarryl came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Falda's Gaston Montel. But to his dismay, Gaston Montel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gaston Montel in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Virgilio Cordarryl saved Atlas F.C. from getting behind. 64 minutes into the match, Falda's goalkeeper Geronimo Romo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benedicto Eguerdi. Ernesto Charro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Geronimo Romo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th match minute, Falda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnulfo Evangelista to maneuver through the defense. Geronimo Romo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. If Benedicto Eguerdi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaston Montel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgilio Cordarryl having to interfere. The supporters of Falda booed when Atlas F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niceto Senin didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Atlas F.C. eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
