Spectators: 6681 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Leon Rosario took the kick off in the first half of the match. 6 minutes into the match, Berna AFC's Leon Rosario sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arnaldo Maurin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 10 minutes into the game, Bernardino Sandaili cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ernesto Licerio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardino Sandaili in the 19th minute of play forced Berna AFC's goalkeeper Ernesto Licerio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Leon Rosario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ladislao Ortzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Maurin having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leon Rosario in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnaldo Maurin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Ongamira's Constantino Miro got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After recieving a nice pass, Berna AFC's Gualterio Larra tried to score from far away in the 33rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A collision led to Berna AFC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Filomeno Froila hit a great ball. In the 38th minute Ongamira were awarded a corner. Emanuel Toro went to the cornerflag to take it. A very nice done corner allowed Cipriano Isias to score against Ernesto Licerio in Berna AFC's goal. 0-2 after 38 minutes. In the 41st minute, Rodrigo Maule hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernardino Sandaili blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ernesto Licerio having to make a save. After 44 minutes of play, Ongamira's Abelardo Firmin made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ernesto Licerio was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Ongamira were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abelardo Firmin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Emanuel Toro charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emanuel Toro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Emanuel Toro hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. 55 minutes into the match, Berna AFC's goalkeeper Ernesto Licerio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernardino Sandaili. If Leon Rosario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rodrigo Maule during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 66 played minutes Berna AFC got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Maule. The corner ended in Emanuel Toro almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Berna AFC's Ernesto Licerio did a great save. Ernesto Licerio made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Bernardino Sandaili sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Berna AFC's zone, Bernardino Sandaili stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernesto Licerio came out of the goal and Bernardino Sandaili tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abelardo Firmin in the 77th minute of play forced Berna AFC's goalkeeper Ernesto Licerio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardino Sandaili could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Ernesto Licerio made a huge save. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Berna AFC's goalkeeper Ernesto Licerio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ongamira's Abelardo Firmin got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Berna AFC's Gualterio Larra got a free kick in the 86th minute. 91 minutes into the match, Berna AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Firmin came free, but Ernesto Licerio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Leon Rosario came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Berna AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leon Rosario couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ongamira walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
