When Leopoldo Montes fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Salado FC's protests and gave Leopoldo Montes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd match minute, Salado FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leopoldo Montes to maneuver through the defense. Leopoldo Montes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hernan Gomez kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Salado FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cleto Vela came free, but Teobaldo Ubarna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eliseo Benet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Marcelo Hats tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leopoldo Montes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Hats having to interfere. Marcelo Hats stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leopoldo Montes's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Eliseo Benet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salado FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseo Benet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo Hats breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 38 minutes into the match, Eliseo Benet notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of BaSf F.C's Marcelo Hats. Marcelo Hats was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marcelo Hats showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Montes in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Leopoldo Montes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelo Hats was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hernan Gomez to make the kick off. Eliseo Benet scored 0-3 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelo Hats, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 56th minute, one of Salado FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Salado FC. In the 58th minute there was a penalty for BaSf F.C. Alfonso Isias stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Teobaldo Ubarna. 1-3. 64 minutes into the match, BaSf F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Montes came free, but Marcelo Hats reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leopoldo Montes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcelo Hats having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in BaSf F.C's zone, Leopoldo Montes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelo Hats came out of the goal and Leopoldo Montes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 72 minutes into the match, BaSf F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Montes came free, but Marcelo Hats reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eliseo Benet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Hats having to interfere. Salado FC's Leopoldo Montes got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leopoldo Montes scored 1-4 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelo Hats, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 87th minute, Leopoldo Montes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eliseo Benets short, quick shot in the 94thth minute got Marcelo Hats to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 95 minutes into the match, BaSf F.C's goalkeeper Marcelo Hats had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eliseo Benet. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leopoldo Montes in the 98th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelo Hats prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Salado FC booed when BaSf F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cleto Vela didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eliseo Benet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Marcelo Hats tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Salado FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
