After some careless play in the Telge77 defense, Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of George Sandell. The Telge77 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that George Sandell should have stopped the shot. Telge77's George Sandell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 28th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nils Jonsson got free with Arnout Reekers in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Telge77 were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after Netherlands's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jarl Sjöö took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Netherlands's goalie and right to Aleksander Gabrielsson. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Netherlands's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 33rd minute, Örjan Stenman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Telge77's zone, Wim Wilmes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. George Sandell came out of the goal and Wim Wilmes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Telge77's Örjan Stenman got a free kick in the 40th minute. 44 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. George Sandell made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After the first half Netherlands were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gijsbert ter Kruimer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. George Sandell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 52nd minute of the match. George Sandell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 53rd minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a precise shot to the right of George Sandell. Telge77's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean-Baptiste Xavier Lloret in the 87th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Martinsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Wim Wilmes might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over George Sandell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wim Wilmes ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Telge77's George Sandell got control of the ball when Wim Wilmes tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Netherlands had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
