The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Nunez Todor fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Goldey's protests and gave Nunez Todor a yellow card for diving instead. Ovidio Berriotxoa's late challenge caught a Codihué FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ovidio Berriotxoa helped the player get up and apologised. Ovidio Berriotxoa kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Goldey's zone, Leandro Berbiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfonso Markel came out of the goal and Leandro Berbiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fulgencio Hanni might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfonso Markel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fulgencio Hanni ran back to his position shaking his head. Fulgencio Hanni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 22nd minute, Ovidio Berriotxoa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulgencio Hanni in the 34th minute of play forced Goldey's goalkeeper Alfonso Markel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute Fulgencio Hanni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Markel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celedonio Delfino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Alfonso Markel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfonso Markel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fulgencio Hanni, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Goldey's Nunez Todor got his second yellow card of the match in the 47th minute. The referee ordered Nunez Todor off the ground. Nunez Todor kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match.

Gonzalo Charro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melchor Bikendi having to interfere. Fulgencio Hanni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Alfonso Markel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Fulgencio Hanni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fulgencio Hanni blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfonso Markel having to make a save. If Fulgencio Hanni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 76 minutes into the match, Codihué FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Charro came free, but Melchor Bikendi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute, Leandro Berbiz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 86th minute, Leandro Berbiz fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Alfonso Markel, passed just outside the right post. After having played for 91 minutes, Celedonio Delfino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Codihué FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celedonio Delfino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Goldey fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Codihué FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
