Lagunillas AFC's Israel Pes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisito Theobald in the 8th minute of play. Feliciano Ireno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ambrosio Berbiz having to interfere. After having played for 13 minutes, Ruben Erasto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lagunillas AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruben Erasto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 18th minute Ruben Erasto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ambrosio Berbiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ruben Erasto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ambrosio Berbiz was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Romeo Fidencio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Torres's supporters rose to their feet, but Romeo Fidencio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Israel Pes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Justino Viviano hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Lagunillas AFC's Ernesto Polo shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 29th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ambrosio Berbiz but with some difficulty. Feliciano Ireno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Severo Panfilo fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Torres's protests and gave Severo Panfilo a yellow card for diving instead. Severo Panfilo kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 39th minute Ruben Erasto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ambrosio Berbiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Torres's Ambrosio Berbiz got control of the ball when Feliciano Ireno tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ruben Erasto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ruben Erasto's late challenge caught a Torres's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ruben Erasto helped the player get up and apologised. Ruben Erasto hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Luisito Theobald made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Armando Boniel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ambrosio Berbiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Feliciano Ireno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ruben Erasto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Ambrosio Berbiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ambrosio Berbiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feliciano Ireno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Severo Panfilo kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Feliciano Ireno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ambrosio Berbiz having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Torres's Severo Panfilo got a free kick in the 71st minute. When Lagunillas AFC's Feliciano Ireno in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Torres's goalie prevented a goal. Ambrosio Berbiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruben Erasto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In a very dangerous position, a player in Torres fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 76th minute. Penalty! 78 minutes into the match, Ernesto Polo notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Torres's Ambrosio Berbiz. Ambrosio Berbiz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 80 minutes into the match, Ruben Erasto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ambrosio Berbiz. Torres's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ruben Erasto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 87 minutes into the match, Torres's goal looked a bit too open when Ruben Erasto came free, but Ambrosio Berbiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Torres's zone, Ruben Erasto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ambrosio Berbiz came out of the goal and Ruben Erasto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Feliciano Ireno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ambrosio Berbiz having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Lagunillas AFC had won after a very even match.
