The crowd rose to their feet as Independiente F.C's Eleuterio Machado slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Placido Salamon. That made the score 1-0 after 29 minutes of play. Moussy's Placido Salamon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eleuterio Machado in the 71st minute of play.
