Spectators: 6681 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 0) Independiente's Angelino Gaitan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Adolfo Ramone might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dalmacio Cebrian. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adolfo Ramone ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 6th match minute, Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dario Hondo to maneuver through the defense. In the 8th minute, Arsenio Perutxo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 10 minutes into the match, Berreta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Angelino Gaitan came free, but Filomeno Edwardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 11 minutes, Gonzalo Abaurre mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Berreta FC and the Independiente players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 11th match minute, Berreta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonzalo Abaurre to maneuver through the defense. Filomeno Edwardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inocencio Beturian in the 12th minute of the match. Adolfo Ramone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Saverio Cordareo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dalmacio Cebrian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saverio Cordareo, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 23 minutes into the match, Arsenio Perutxo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Filomeno Edwardo. Berreta FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arsenio Perutxo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Dario Hondo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Filomeno Edwardo. Berreta FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 28 played minutes Berreta FC got a freekick which was hit by Erubiel Flores. 29 minutes into the match, Berreta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Angelino Gaitan came free, but Filomeno Edwardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saverio Cordareo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmacio Cebrian having to interfere. Inocencio Beturian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Independiente were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Saverio Cordareo to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Independiente defense, Adolfo Ramone kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dalmacio Cebrian. The Independiente fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dalmacio Cebrian should have stopped the shot. Saverio Cordareo succeeded in the game's 60th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. Adolfo Ramone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmacio Cebrian having to interfere. After 66 minutes of play Independiente's Dario Hondo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 67th match minute, Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dario Hondo to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Berreta FC's Fausto Astrada tried to score from far away in the 67th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Adolfo Ramone sped through Independiente's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dalmacio Cebrian. Leandro Eron hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Fausto Astrada made a great header on Berreta FC's corner, it was just that Independiente's Dalmacio Cebrian managed to reach the ball for a save. Saverio Cordareo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Dalmacio Cebrian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Saverio Cordareo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adolfo Ramone took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dalmacio Cebrian. Dalmacio Cebrian dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. If Inocencio Beturian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Independiente's Dalmacio Cebrian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saverio Cordareo in the 96th minute of play. Berreta FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
