The Honorato Ricart was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. If Ezequiel Calixto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Prospero Erasto fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sauce's protests and gave Prospero Erasto a yellow card for diving instead. Prospero Erasto hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Ezequiel Calixtos short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Honorato Ricart to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ezequiel Calixto who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Honorato Ricart when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Punua AFC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Teo Castel hit a great ball. A well placed Hernan Dolcet short distance shot in the 21st minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. 26 minutes into the match, Hernan Rozarius notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Sauce's Basilio Mancio. Basilio Mancio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Basilio Mancio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santiago Chinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Santiago Chinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gonzalo Haritz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When Hernan Dolcet came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Sauce fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hernan Dolcet couldn't finish the play. The Sauce fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Sauce's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Santiago Chinto scored to the left of an out of position Basilio Mancio, making the score, 2-2. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the match, Sauce's goalkeeper Basilio Mancio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gonzalo Haritz. Punua AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sauce the free kick. Honorato Ricart showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ezequiel Calixto in the 86th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Gonzalo Haritz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Punua AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gonzalo Haritz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Basilio Mancio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gonzalo Haritz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basilio Mancio having to interfere. Santiago Chinto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Punua AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sauce.
