In the 7th minute of the match Silvestre Indar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mariano Bembe skillfully saved the ball. The audience was convinced that Paulino Illart's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mariano Bembe was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Paulino Illart managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cassaffousth FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulino Illart was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mariano Bembe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ruben Leizarraga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mariano Bembe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Mariano Bembe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruben Leizarraga in the 15th minute of the match. Talaini's Mariano Bembe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulino Illart in the 16th minute of play. Paulino Illart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Talaini's Julian Paublo got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd match minute, Cassaffousth FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Americo Txurio to maneuver through the defense. If Silvano Kusko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruben Leizarraga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Mariano Bembe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30thth minute of the game Paulino Illart who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Talaini's Mariano Bembe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Talaini's zone, Ruben Leizarraga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mariano Bembe came out of the goal and Ruben Leizarraga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mariano Bembe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruben Leizarraga in the 48th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulino Illart to make the kick off. If Silvano Kusko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Braulio Izotz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Silvano Kusko went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Ruben Leizarraga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Mariano Bembe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Talaini's goal looked a bit too open when Paulino Illart came free, but Mariano Bembe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ruben Leizarraga kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 66thth minute of the game Paulino Illart who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Talaini's Mariano Bembe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Ruben Leizarraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Paulino Illart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Bembe having to interfere. After 72 minutes, Cipriano Ibon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Talaini and the Cassaffousth FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 72nd minute, Cipriano Ibon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 74 minutes into the match, Talaini's goalkeeper Mariano Bembe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ruben Leizarraga. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomas Sendoa during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Angelino James, 80 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When Paulino Illart came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Cassaffousth FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulino Illart couldn't finish the play. In the 87th minute, Ruben Leizarraga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Talaini's zone, Paulino Illart stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mariano Bembe came out of the goal and Paulino Illart tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 91st minute Paulino Illart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariano Bembe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silvano Kusko in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Braulio Izotz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Talaini's Mariano Bembe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to save Talaini from getting a goal against them. Many of Cassaffousth FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Cassaffousth FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Talaini were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
