Christian Toli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Saverio Guerau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. San Jorge's Dionisio Benitez got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Baltasar Gonsalve hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dionisio Benitez in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Saverio Guerau saved C.A. Chacarita Juniors from getting behind. San Jorge's Santos Eguen suffered a fractured collar bone after 28 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Ladislao Lehoi charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ladislao Lehoi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. San Jorge's Cristo Ondino was substituted for Santos Eguen. In the 30th minute, Ladislao Lehoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ladislao Lehoi hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Chacarita Juniors booed when San Jorge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bonifacio Iago didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half San Jorge were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Severino Euloxu to make the kick off. Chacarita Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Dionisio Benitez came free, but Saverio Guerau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute, Dionisio Benitez fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Saverio Guerau, passed just outside the right post. After 72 played minutes San Jorge got a freekick which was hit by Luis Feliu. After having played for 74 minutes, Dionisio Benitez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Jorge's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dionisio Benitez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bonifacio Iago received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Saverio Guerau came out and tried to block the shot, but Bonifacio Iago slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 75th minute. Dionisio Benitez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Saverio Guerau read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Christian Tolis short, quick shot in the 81stth minute got Saverio Guerau to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 86 minutes into the match, C.A. Chacarita Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Dionisio Benitez came free, but Saverio Guerau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. During the 92nd minute of the match Bonifacio Iago completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Bonifacio Iago a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, San Jorge's Bonifacio Iago got a free kick in the 93rd minute. San Jorge's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
