Carlos Machado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilio Montrel in the 9th minute of the match. Emilio Montrel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Machado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Emilio Montrel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Carlos Machado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Emilio Montrel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bruno Ihazintu hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Carlos Machado was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Oscar Gerazan. Emilio Montrel might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlos Machado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emilio Montrel ran back to his position shaking his head. After 29 played minutes Paternal got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Ihazintu. Oscar Gerazan shot from long distance in the 30th minute, but Carlos Machado was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. 31 minutes into the match, Paternal's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Montrel came free, but Carlos Machado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute, Mariano Urti left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paternal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Emilio Montrel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Machado having to interfere. Carlos Machado was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Emilio Montrel capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Emilio Montrel really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emilio Montrel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Emilio Montrel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Moreno's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emilio Montrel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Machado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uriel Lixandro in the 63rd minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Paternal's goal looked a bit too open when Uriel Lixandro came free, but Carlos Machado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Uriel Lixandro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Machado having to interfere. If Uriel Lixandro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Paternal's zone, Emilio Montrel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Machado came out of the goal and Emilio Montrel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 73 minutes, Emilio Montrel made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Paternal's Carlos Machado tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Moreno booed when Paternal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alonzo Odon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonel Gartzea hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Carlos Machado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonel Gartzea in the 88th minute of play. Leonel Gartzea kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. 93 minutes into the game, Mariano Urti recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cristobal Bilintx. Mariano Urti showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. Uriel Lixandro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Machado having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Moreno fully deserved thier win.
