Melchor Beliran's late challenge caught a Cachueta FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Samuel Rudolfo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baldomero Justin in the 8th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Alfredo Guipuzkoa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rigoberto Locaio. Cachueta FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfredo Guipuzkoa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Alfredo Guipuzkoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Guipuzkoa in the 17th minute of play forced Cachueta FC's goalkeeper Rigoberto Locaio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samuel Rudolfo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 19th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jonatan Martinez. The supporters of Cachueta FC booed when Ducós FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cayetano Soin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 21 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ducós FC! Cachueta FC's Rigoberto Locaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melchor Beliran in the 44th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Justino Gartzen to make the kick off. The Cachueta FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ducós FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
